The state of stuff and things

Okay, so recently (the last few months I suppose LOL) I've had a couple small polls up. After a couple week long stretch where I was all about drawing stuff I've been on a few day long break again. The second poll in particular was meant to push me to draw a pin-up but thinking on it I kind of want to do a short comic instead. As one might expect this takes more time. Also , while I'm prepping for this I've also fallen back into a sort of "gamers hole" where I spend most of my free time playing some good old videogames. This, of course ,has taken plenty of solid drawing time away.
I've been checking out a bunch of tutorials on all sorts of things that I never bothered with , despite how long I've been sketching, doodling or even just straight up actually drawing stuff with any kind of purpose , I've never bothered to really learn any software or make full use of the cintiq I've now owned for quite a few years. I'm making a solid attempt at changing all of this for self improvement and self fulfillment. I draw as a hobby and for personal enjoyment but I also want to be better. Things will continue to be business as usual here in the meantime, you might see a few sketches drop in a few days and then nothing for a couple weeks. What I'd like to avoid going forward is months long stretches without any posts , I'm hoping joining a TF/TG artist discord and paying attention to the communities collective twitter posts and such will keep me motivated going forward.
So thanks again to the hundreds of people who have followed me and favorited many of my dumb little comics and sequences too. I'm going to keep at it.

Preface , I want to go for a shared world aesthetic with these future ideas , I'm kind of starting small here though. Imagine a contemporary world (it's basically where we live now) where if you know where to look, magic is real. What if in this same world there was a small city where everyone knew where to find it and no one was really surprised by it's effects ? Re-using some stuff I've done in the past , I thought "what if the boob witch ran a curio/magic shop ? " so anyway, that's the rough setting , here's some ideas I've been hashing out in my head. Anyone who wants to comment on what they want to see first or enjoy the most , feel free. I haven't made up my mind exactly what I want to do next just yet.
Idea 1 -
French maid the bed redux - So a reporter has made his way to the town I described above , following a lead that a number of people have gone to this place on holiday and not come back. This reporter ends up arriving in the town fairly late and tries to find a place to spend a night ... it happens that the only place open is a small bread and breakfast run by the boob witch. She calls for her maid "It seems we have a guest, please go make up the room , I expect you to make a wonderful bed " , the maid sighs and goes to the room, cleans everything up and notices there's no bed , only a bottle sitting on a night stand. Groaning again, she takes the bottle and slams it back and then a recreation of my old sequence commences, the maid becomes a luxurious bed. "ah I think the maid should be done up there sir, please go up and enjoy the bed". This would likely work best as a short comic instead of just a mishmash , I'd consider it like a small chapter in this towns overall story and we'd come back to the reporter character at a later time.
Idea 2 -
Day at the BEach - A young couple end up at the beach resort on the edge of town for a day of fun in the sun. Boyfriend is excited to see his GF in a bikini but unknown to him , she's worried she won't fill it out enough so shes' bought some magic pills that will help. Unfortunatly she doesn't follow the directions correctly and instead of growing a cup size or 2 ... she ends up MUCH bigger... much the delight of her boyfriend.
Idea 3-
Mooooo-re than a handful - Daisy is an up and coming stripper at the town club , she's becoming so popular in fact that a rival stripper ( the previous club fave) has placed a curse on her, or at least that's what she thought it was. Daisy ends up growing a second set of breasts on stage and makes more money than ever that night... the rival stripper then attempts to use the same magic on herself thinking that might make her even better .. and instead she ends up misusing it and turns into a partial cow on stage and people are less than enthused.... maybe she even mis-uses it so badly that she's stuck that way whereas Daisy reverts to normal ?

So for now that's what I got , I'd rather make these all short colored comics and they all serve a purpose to push my forward artistically , which one do you all like the most ?

Booby Breather Post Mortem

So, it's finally done after futzing around making new drawings for several weeks. "anime tiddy art, it's all we have ... but ... is it any good ? " I'm overall satisfied with completing this sequence because I've been pushing that sisyphean stone up a hill for so long that I was just happy to finish it , it has every drawing I wanted it to have based on my old thumbnails but.... as any artist knows and understands, we're all our own worst critics. So where would I have improved this sequence/comic thing with the 20/20 power of hindsight ?
In part 1 I drew a single giant poster image of the protag walking into his apartment. This background was re-used throughout most of the full sequence and ... to put it lightly, it's hideous. My color choices were poor , it looked unfinished and I hated that couch. I also did the initial linework too fast so the perspective is pretty bad too. It's a poor background. The main character I drew is okay but I gave him a big ole' fat bicep that doesn't look right at all and the camera angle I chose for this initial shot is kind of boring. The rest of the page isn't too bad , the drawing of the dude on the couch was fine, I don't think I'll do as much cutNpaste work as I did here, it ended up taking just as long to re-size and "fix" stuff to look "right" as it would have to just draw it all properly. So my main take-away from this page , which was the hardest one to get through by far, is that I need to spend more time doing proper planning. If I was starting this all from scratch right now , I'd have just made it a comic instead of a sequence.
Parts 2/3 There was less I was unhappy with here, I need to do a better job of making a character design and keeping them on model and I've also learned how to speed up my coloring. Need to also come up with some more interesting poses and draw panels that don't just feel like key frames in an animation , convey more with each panel. More drawings like the "boobsplosion" and fewer drawings like the initial "my nipples appear to be huge now".
Part 4 I actually took a few of my own lessons here , tried to make a more detailed drawing for the first 2 panels , conveyed more with words than pictures. The pin-up was kind of how I wanted it but I certainly could have done a more interesting drawing or made a couple of them. I had a second image in my mind of the protagonist having finished their run , sitting on a park bench with a male running tripping over a tree branch trying to catch a glimpse. She'd have her jogging coat off with like a sports bra underneath, cooling off perhaps. I thought it was better to just move on though.
So while I'm happy I finally finished this sucker off , I'm looking forward to some big improvements in the future and sharing more of the creative process I go through with ya'll. I might just start doing my next idea later this weekend , so thanks for the continued and new support

The 7 year itch...

First of all , THANK YOU VERY MUCH to anyone whose fave'd my newer stuff this past month and WELCOME to the handful of new folks who decided to add me to their watch list. Many things have contributed to my sudden return to this space but I suppose there are two main points 1) - Instead of spending 3-6 hours working on a separate art project every week with a friend , I am now spending closer to 2-4. I've long kind of figured I have 6-8 hours worth of creative energy in me to get out of my system on a weekly basis (sometimes more) and since Inktober took place last year I've doubled back on creating my own stuff again. Point 2) - I actually really like doodling ero art and transformation sequences. I can't say for sure what exactly made me stop in the first place ? but it's been about 7 years since I tried to do routine updates. Perhaps I just hit a wall of artists block ? maybe I wasn't satisfied with the quality of my work ? I can't say for sure. There was some depression in there for sure , I mean who isn't down from time to time right ?
I won't commit to how often I plan to update anything on here , just know I'm currently having a ton of fun making stuff again. Vague future goals ? I have a Patreon attached to my non-ero face but I've done nothing with it. If anyone out there using Patreon knows of a way to make things a little more anonymous (possibly KannelArt or Grumpy-TG maybe ?) for me I might change it over to an ero-focused page. This has always been a hobby for me NOT a job so whatever happens there I consider little more than tips. Along the same lines I have never accepted a commission but I've gotten a handful of offers over the many many years I've had this page up for very similar reasons - I don't NEED the money and there are many other artists out there who ARE really relying on commissions and patreon to supplement their income but there are only so many folks out there that want to spend cash on this particular avenue of artwork. In the past it was a self confidence thing , I was and still am very much an amateur at creating this stuff compared to a huge list of my peers and as I said at the beginning my time commitments are no where near the "part time job/full time job" level required to commit to going pro so to speak. That said if , down the road , as I get more organized - if people want to toss me a couple bucks or I do eventually decide to open a handful of commissions ? There won't be any objections.
So finally, what's the intended stream of content going forward in the near term ? I've got the 4th and final part of "Booby Breather" coming up next. This sequence is a significant one for a few reasons but the biggest is that it was the last real "request" I got the last time I did an "all request hour" , it's changed a bit from the original intent over the years and I can't say it's really based on a specific thing from back in 2011-2013 anymore but the fact is - I've been sitting on it for 7 years basically. Secondly, I consider it a greatest hits kind of transformation sequence , as each piece is perhaps unintentionally built off a few others I've done in the past. It's been a learning experience , figuring out just what I can do with clip studio with regards to digital creation and editing/coloring. Once I'm done with it , I kind of want to do a post mortem on the whole thing complete with some rough sketches with the 20/20 power of hindsight - basically "how could I have made this differently/better ?". From there I've got a couple of other sequence/comic ideas floating around in my head including making better use of the year old poll I've got on here .... Of all things I've got a solid idea to remake "french maid the bed" into a bigger comic because people were checking it out over the last few weeks and I can really challenge myself artistically with something crazy like an inanimate transformation like that. It's kind of tropey at this point but the idea of some sort of "anything goes" setting to place my ideas is appealing too , I've seen blackshirtboy , Grumpy-TG and Notzackforwork get a lot of mileage out of that with their own shared universe stuff.
It feels nice to be back drawing the tiddy folks.
